Mrs. Karen Mcelyea came to Green Valley Health and Wellness Suites following surgical repair to her right foot.  Upon admission, Mrs. Mcelyea relied on the facility’s staff for transfers, all daily living tasks, and was unable to walk due to weight-bearing restrictions.

The amazing nursing and therapy team at Green Valley developed a custom treatment plan to address weakness, balance issues, and provided strategies for regaining her independence despite her weight-bearing restrictions.  

We are excited to report that Mrs. Mcelyea is transitioning home with her family. She can now walk over 100 feet with a rolling walker, can negotiate stairs and performing daily activities independently while maintaining her restrictions.
